Reviving Writing

Once again, Parent Teacher Interviews are complete and so are report cards. It is an exhausting time for a teacher because it takes the focus away from the planning process. It is a valuable time because parents are interested to know how their child is doing.
Today teachers get to participate in a writing workshop with Kathy Jessup. I am very excited. I saw her last year at our Teacher's Convention and I loved her. I have really made writing a focus this year and I am excited to hear how I can help my little writers further their learning and help them add more details and enhance what they already do. Learning something new today will be refreshing because I won't have to do all the talking.
Have a great day everyone!

Wacky Hair Day & Green Day As Well

Friday was a busy day all around. Pizza Day, Birthdays, Green Day, and of course Wacky Hair Day. The excitement was in the air. Wacky Hair was everywhere. The students were very creative with what they came up with. Enjoy!!

Valentine's Day

Tuesday is Valentine's Day.
Remember to bring your skates, helmets, mitts and ski pants for skating at the Dave Barr Arena. It is going to be a lot of fun. Parents who have volunteered to tie skates please meet us at the arena around 9:45ish. We will be leaving the school at 9:30.
In the afternoon, we will make our Valentine containers to hold all of your cards.
I will bring in a snack for us to munch on.
Looking forward to the day.

Enjoying the Beautiful Weather

We decided to take a walk to the park today to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather. Actually, Ms. Brown was needing some sunshine because she is stuck indoors most days. Regardless, it was a great 30 minutes at the park taking a break from school.

What did you do today?
