Penguin Unit

It has been a while since I've posted on this blog or any other. I guess when you take time away from writing it's hard to get back into it.
We started back to schoool last week and then we ended up with two no bus days. So this meant we only had two days of school. Not a lot to get things accomplished.
We are beginning my favourite unit in school, Penguins. Like other teachers I don't have a unit to share but I will be posting some photos and such of what we are learning. The first thing we are doing is looking for all of the different types or spieces of penguins. The kids have discovered that there are at least 17 diffierent kinds. Next they will look for their heights. They know not all penguins are the same heights. I can't wait for them to discover how tall the Emperor penguin is.
Come back and visit soon to see what we are up to.

  1. You grabbed my attention Ms Brown. I had to research to find out just how tall the Emperor penguin is... and WOW, the kids will be surprised. :-)
